AMAC Magazine - Volume 18 | Issue 3 | May/Jun 2024

Dear AMAC Member, For more than a century, immigrants have come to the United States and been greeted by those famous words etched on the pedestal of the Statue of Liberty: “Give me your tired, your poor, LETTER FROM THE EDITOR Sadly, Joe Biden has effectively redefined those beautiful words to sound more like this: “Give me your tired, your poor, your felons and drug cartels, your rapists and child traffickers, your dangerous thugs, and those who favor tyranny over freedom….” A nation that cannot control its borders is a nation in decline. If we forget history, we are destined to repeat it. The great historian Victor Davis Hanson issues a stark warning: “Civilizations such as the Aztecs and Byzantines were not fully cognizant that they were in decline and did not recognize that their enemies wished to be rid of them…” (Read his incredible interview on page 20). Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!” Do we recognize that our enemies wish to be rid of us along with our Western values? Are we aware that while crime and the cost of living soars, our enemies are infiltrating every aspect of our culture? Are Americans mindful that we are at a major crossroads, with the outcome of the 2024 presidential election defining what it will mean to live in a free America? America cannot afford to misjudge its enemies, yet the radical Left welcomes them into our country with open arms. At the same time, the liberal elites are trying to brainwash our children into believing that America is an inherently flawed nation. This is what our enemies want us to believe. But the vast majority of Americans know better. The American spirit is resilient and optimistic, and I am convinced that there are more good citizens than those who wish to replace our constitutional republic with a social- ist regime. Together, we will uphold the values that have always made America the greatest nation on earth. May God bless you, and may He always protect this land that we so dearly love!
