AMAC Benet Highlight

W hen it comes to under- standing Medicare, there’s so much information out there that it can get overwhelming pretty quickly. But there’s hope— AMAC cuts through the noise to get you the straightforward Medicare information you’re looking for. With the Annual Enrollment Period (AEP) right around the corner (October 15 through December 7) , you’ll want to evaluate your coverage now for the upcoming year. We can help! AMAC’s Medicare Advisory Service puts a team of licensed, experienced Medicare advisors at your finger- tips. They work exclusively for AMAC, are US-based, and are dedicated to providing solutions to all your Medi- care questions. Our advisors have access to a multitude of plan options from numerous insurers, giving our customers more choice of cover- age compared to agencies who only offer one insurer. Plus, our services are always FREE of charge, and there is never any obligation to purchase insurance from us.

Now that you know how we can help you, here are four tips to keep in mind as the Annual Enrollment Period (AEP) approaches: 1. If you have a Medicare Advantage Plan (Plan C) or a stand-alone Prescription Drug Plan (Part D), you should have received an Annual Notice of Change (ANOC) in September that explained any plan changes that will take effect the following year. Be sure to review this and any information sent by your insurer. 2. If you are not happy with the upcoming changes, be sure to call AMAC’s Medicare Advisory Service for help with evaluating your options. New information for plan year 2024 is released in early October, so we suggest starting to compare plans then. 3. Beginning October 15, you can make unlimited plan changes until December 7. The last plan election made during the Annual

Enrollment Period will take effect January 1, 2024. (However, if you qualify for another enrollment period because you’ve experi- enced a qualified life event, you may be able to start your new coverage sooner than January 1). 4. DO NOT wait until AEP begins to shop for Medicare Supplement coverage (aka Medigap). These plans are not subject to the same enrollment periods as Medicare Advantage Plans or stand-alone Prescription Drug Plans. That means you can shop around for a Medicare Supplement plan at ANY time during the year. Call us today to shop for Medicare Supplement plans in your area.
